Haven Community Services (HCS) Ltd. provides specialized Staffed Residential Services and Community Services to individuals with Complex Mental Illness, including Concurrent Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other individuals with Complex Heath Care Needs.

Staffed Residential Services

  • Guided by the principles of Person-Centred Approach and Trauma-Informed Practice, Pychosocial Rehabilitation, Recovery Model, and Positive Behavior Support, Haven Community Services (HCS) Ltd. provides Specialized Residential Services to individuals with Complex Mental Illness, including individuals with Concurrent Disorders, in a 24-hour staffed residential facility.

Staffed Residential Services

More specifically, HCS provides the following support:

  • Person-centred Planning

  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation

  • Basic life skills

  • Medication administration and other delegable tasks

  • Behavior management

  • Community engagement

  • Education and/or vocational needs

  • Community appointment

  • Round-the-clock Registered Nurse support

Staffed Residential Services

  • Haven Community Services Ltd. has been qualified by Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) to provide Staffed Residential Services to Individuals with:

    • Developmental Disabilities,

    • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD),

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and

    • Individuals with Complex Health Care Needs.

Community Inclusion Services

With the principle of Person-Centred Approach at the forefront, Haven Community Services (HCS) Ltd. aims to promote increased quality of life and self-reliance through:

  • Skills Development and Community Based Support (home maintenance, budgeting, shopping, meal planning and preparation, cooking, running errands, fulfilling appointments, assistance with leisure / community recreational activities, enhancing skills in transit use, nature walk, exercise, attendance to local events).

  • Support Coordination (assistance in establishing connection to recreational activities in the community, support groups, agencies that may provide support with education and/or vocational needs, spiritual support, counselling, and medical attention).

  • Areas Served: Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, and Port Moody
